I betrayed my best friend during a manic episode (I didn't have an OCD diagnosis).
I believed he hated me deeply and wanted me gone from his life. That wasn't true, I was just deeply paranoid. I was diagnosed with OCD after our fallout.
He said that I could never talk to him ever again.
I understand I was in the wrong, but I can't stop worrying if he's eating, if he's sleeping right, if he did exercise like he wanted to do, if he likes how much his art has improved and so on.
I know he'll never forgive me, there's nothing I can say to him to ease any of the pain I caused, but I want to leave this out there.
I hope he's safe and around friends that care for him as much as I did then. It was a beautiful friendship, and I'm sorry I made him suffer so much.
I should've told him how paranoid I felt, but there was nothing he could've said to fix my mentality then, I needed medical attention.
I'm sorry, and I will always be sorry until I die.
It’s easy to lash out on others when you’re going through a hard time, and it’s easy to look back and feel horrible about what you did. Just remember that it’s in the past, and that growing as a person and working to never hurt someone like that again is the best thing that you can do
